'Fruit Gathering" are verses of mystical poetry, about the understanding and wisdom of life that the disciple gathers in his journey in search of his Master.
Tagore (1861-1941) was an Indian poet, writer, artist, playwright who profoundly changed and influenced Indian literature. He received the Nobel prize in literature in 1913.
I was reminded of the Sufic poetry of Jalaludin Rumi as I read Tagore's verses.
