This is important:There is not a date to be found on this book.
I am in the process of CAREFULLY scanning parts of the book, and am willing to share what I have with Open Library.
I recently found this little book at a thrift store, and was intrigued with the publisher and its marriage to this particular author, for this book.

Old, but is in tact, and aside from the shelf wear and foxing on the hard cover (Pages are delightfully clean), it is one of the nicest older copies I've ever seen.

I very much would like someone to help me determine a date.

HM Caldwell published this book likely under "The Alacazar Classics, Pastel Series 1904".

Work Description

Lady Of The Lake is a lovely, 6-piece poem by Sir Walter Scott. This poetic story is the basis for many later works by other authors, and to this day, still sets the pace for emerging and contemporary writers. This work has inspired operas, has been misinterpreted by racist fools, and even now, it is able to move the hearts and minds of those who are currently present, as it surely will, generations still to come.
Anyone interested in making movies may want to give this book a go of it, too; For, although written in another time and era, some things, like great writing, character-building, and scene construction, remain the same. And Sir Scott's mastery of such things is exemplified in this, his, "The Lady Of The Lake."
