Work Description

Sanity left me. I cried out, "Oh, no!" I put my elbows on my desk and held my head in my hands. I shut my eyes to close out this awful day. I opened my eyes. I looked down and saw a pair of large black dress shoes standing beside my desk. Arby thinks he's all set for junior high, but right away he runs into dragons. That's what his homeroom teacher calls Selfishness and Fear and Pride. And just as he gets started on some serious dragonslaying, he has to face the suspicion that someone else wants to share his hero, Mr. Watson. - Back cover.

In just seven weeks sixth-grader Arby will give the Honor Address at graduation, but first he has to survive spring baseball season, give an oral report on World War II, and figure out his strange neighbor, One-Armed Watson.
