Edition Notes
Running title.
Cover title: Hamilton's.
Ca. 1891, Hamilton purchased the Wm. H. Page Wood Type Co., of Norwich, Conn., the oldest wood type business in the U.S. This catalog represents a combination of Page and Hamilton types.
"Commencing the manufacture of wood type in 1856, Mr. Page soon absorbed the oldest concern then existing, that of J.S. Cooley, who, in turn, had absorbed the business of Edwin Allen, the first man to cut wood type by machinery in the world ... at South Windham, Conn. in 1846"--p. [1]
