Francis Jackson informs William Lloyd Garrison that he had received a letter from a Mr. Stedman that very day, and that he was forwarding a copy of said letter to headquarters. Jackson states that he will respond to Stedman to testify to Garrison's character provided that his views on the matter "shall be considered as sufficient authority".
