Edition Notes

Holograph, signed.

The letter is written on the inside of an unfolded envelope; the dimensions of the letter are similar to a parallelogram.

A house in Hamilton Place is being considered by Henry G. Chapman. It may be too large and the rent may be too high. Henry G. Chapman's cough is bad, but he otherwise seems well. Anne W. Weston, along with Wendell Phillips, Mary Chapman, and Caroline Weston, went to hear (William) Adam speak on the Chinese war. "He was beautiful...& put in a thousand good things about slavery." After the lecture, Hervey Weston went to a medical party at the house of Dr. (John Collins) Warren.
