Munawar Hussain Haider Gorgani, Mirza;
Born 1910, belongs to Moughal Royal Dynasty of the last rulers of India at Dehli. Descendants of Ameer Taimur Gorgan, Shah Alam Sani, Last emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar; one of the ancestors Ali Bahadur Aali Gohar was killed fighting against British forces under the command of General Nicolson, whose son shot General Nicolson and finally killed in action; another ancestor, Jahan Panah went to Bhopal and settled in the state; father Mirza Haider Hussain Gorgani was taken in ICS cadre but died during service in young age; Mirza Munawar Hussain Haider Gorgani graduated from Indian Military Academy Dehra Dune; commissioned in Indian Army 1933; saw active service World War-II and thereafter opted for Pakistan, served in Bahawalpur State Forces. He had the honour of being the associate of Dr. Allama Iqbal, the Poet of East. Author of comparative Studies of Faiths and Religions. Elder son Mirza Shah Jahan Haider Gorgani born Multan, Punjab, 1938; Graduated in Science, SE College Bahawalpur, 1962;Second son, Major Shah Zaman Haider Gorgani, Sitara-e-Basalat (A decorated soldier) serving in Pakistan Army; third son Mirza Shah Irfan Haider Gorgani, BALLB, Advocate; fourth son Mirza Shah Mardan Haider Gorgani, BA, owns business in USA; youngest (fifth) son Mirza Shah Sultan Haider Gorgani (Late) suffered a sudden death; daughters; elder daughter Ansa Ali-ud-Darjat, BA, poetess and scholar; second daughter Ansa Wali-ud-Darjat, MA, third daughter Ansa Sabih-ud-Darjat, MA, youngest (fourth) daughter Ansa Wasih-ud-Darjat.
Mirza Munawar Hussain Haider Gorgani started mechanised agriculture with a far reaching vision to develop the backward rural area and progressively bring the prosperity to the area. To achieve this; his efforts brought fruit and six villages were given electricity via Amroka Tubewell scheme under the "Grow More" program, established Gorgani Feeder Market (Mandi Gorgan) at Lala Amarsingh, donated lands to establish schools for boys and girls, established Approach "Gorgani Road" connecting Main Minchinabad-Sulemanki Road with feeder market Mandi Gorgani. A health unit was also set up for the provision of medical facilities to local area people for this purpose six acres of land was provided.
