With board edges and turn-ins blocked in gold and gauffered edges. Endpapers printed with a decorative design centred within a border replicated from the colour plates in the text. Front paste-down with the imprint: "Bound by Stephen Austin, Hertford".

MASS copy 2: Bound in green morocco-grain cloth blocked in gold in the same design and with the same signature as copy 1; with gauffered edges but in a different design, and lacking gold blocked board edges and turn-ins. With publisher's imprint on spine. Endpapers in same design as copy 1 but lacking binder's imprint. One colour in borders on p. 217-224 differs from copy 1. Presentation copy: "Mrs. [Leune?] With the Translator's compliments".
