V.C. Andrews Collection

V.C. Andrews is one of the most prolific authors of the 20th century, with over 90 novels attributed to her.

Andrews was born in 1923 in Virginia, USA, as Cleo Virginia Andrews and passed at the age of 63 in 1986. Her works focused on themes of family, romance, young female protagonists, murder, and psychological drama in the genre of gothic horror and family saga. Readers should be aware that Andrews' novels deal with difficult and confronting themes including child abuse, rape and mental health struggles. Her most well-known series is the Dollanganger series, which features her best-selling novel Flowers in the Attic.

Interestingly, the majority of Andrews' works were published after her death, as her estate continued to publish under her name by using ghostwriter Andrew Neiderman, who expanded her oeuvre by over 80 novels.
