Typhoon: Captain MacWhirr and his first mate Jukes keep their ship, the Nan Shan, afloat during a brutal hurricane, faltering engines, and passenger uprisings
Amy Foster: Yanko Goorall, a poor emigrant, is the sole survivor of a shipwreck off the coast of Kent. He is eventually rescued by a young woman, Amy Foster, who takes pity on him. They eventually marry and when Yanko falls very ill, he cries out to her in Polish, but not understanding, Amy abandons him in his time of need
Falk: A young mariner negotiates a marriage between the taciturn Falk and the simple but physically attractive daughter of a ship's captain
To-morrow: A retired skipper goes in search of his lost son, Harry. He eventually meets Bessie and tries to arrange a marriage between Bessie and his missing son
