I'm not sure how the digitization works but,

is a scary example of a book NOT digitized or spell-checked or even looked at by a human. I found it because I searched Google for an unintelligble word and, sure enough, it's in there. "She wanted a wmga", the line says. What? I hear Google is appropriting the books,and then selling them back to libraries. If this is the product, don't buy it! Give me paper, please!
