Subject: An Uncommon Diary and Quite Hilarious
Subject: An Uncommon Diary and Quite Hilarious
This book is far from being a diary of the day in and ut of being a millinary shop owner in the 1800's. It is more a book of observations on her customers and their husbands and the foibles of human nature as well as advancing some indirect woman's suffrage ideas at the same time. The various ways pious women would try to cheat the poor millinary shop owner who firmly put them in their place with obfuscation and indirection are what makes this book hilarious and very enjoyable to read.
