Following the first 2 annual reports (January and December 1866), the Northern Counties' Asylum for Idiots and Imbeciles was called the Royal Albert Asylum
Consists of a list of legacies, a prospectus (John T. Hibbert, Edward Lawrence, William H. Foster, Samuel Keir), list of trustees, presidents, officers and central committee members, a report of the general annual meeting at York on 18 October 1907, the report of the central committee (John T. Hibbert, chairman), the report of the medical superintendent (Archibald R. Douglas), cases of improvement, the auditor's report (A. B. S. Welch), financial and statistical statements (James Diggens, A. R. Douglas), report of the Commissioners in Lunacy (L. L. Shadwell, F. Needham) list of clergymen and ministers, presents received, census of imbecile or feeble-minded persons, a list of places that inmates came from, a short article about Brunton House - the asylum's home for "special private pupils", photographs of the Asylum, its grounds and other satellite homes and the pupils engaged in school lessons, basketmaking, joinery, tailoring etc
