Subject: Not Very Good
I would say that this volume was written by a 5th Air Force officer or group of officers. The anti-Navy and anti-ground force bias is pretty blatant, as is the view that the Air Force won the war, and the Navy and Army got in the way. It is useful in representing the view of the average Air Force officer in the period between World War 2 and the Korean War. I would strongly recommend that any statements of fact be thoroughly cross-checked with other sources, as there appears to be some deliberate mis-statements.
