In the course of settling a legal dispute the court will decide on 'rules'. These rules then become part of the law. Over time they are accumulated. This set of books, puts the rules, i.e. topics that include Habias Corpus, Property, Sheriff, Trial, and hundreds of others, in alphabetical order, gives a description of the rule/law and tells the reader which court case caused them to be issued. The back of the this volume includes a list of all the cases used in writing Volume 1 & 2. It is only Volume 2 of a 3 Volume set and starts with Habias Corpus and it's important to note this set was developed after the Civil War.
