In the LC copy, the folded plate, with the map of "Ould Virginia," appears to be in the second state described by Cole (Church Catalogue, v. 2, p. 937); the folded map of Virginia, eighth state (Cole, v. 2, p. 831); map of New England, eighth state (Cole, v. 2, p. 855). The folded plate, with the map of "The Summer Ils" is in the third state (Cole, v. 2, p. 938).
