Edition Notes
Literary bulletins sent to the Duke of Saxe-Gotha and others. Continues a correspondence begun by the Abbé Raynal in 1747 (but not included in this ed.). Grimm's secretary, Meister, is authority for the statement that the correspondence from 1770 to 1773 was mainly by Diderot, and the remainder largely by himself, with the collaboration of Mme. d'Épinay, and others. Cf. ed. of 1877, v. 2, p. 230-235.
